FAQ - I am a raw materials supplier, what can/should I do?
I am a raw materials supplier, what can/should I do?
There is a similar answer to this question to the one about the contract manufacturer: Don’t wait to be asked (see above). The big difference is that as a raw material supplier, you may have a distinctly unique view into your supply chain. It is important to begin to build competency and relationships within your own supplier and services base and consider capturing information from them because the owner of the brand selling the product to the end consumer product will most likely be too far removed from the view of the supply chain that you possess. Having a competent supply chain that provides both goods and information will become a much more valuable asset in the transparent, sustainable, environmentally conscious world we must evolve to.
