Will this index roll up into a single score?
No, not currently, and we do not have any immediate plans to do so. As a working group we’ve debated the benefits and drawbacks of a single score. Unfortunately, at this relatively early phase of the index it is believed that with the incredible complexity of the supply chain where impacts may occur, along with a still incomplete picture of the impacts themselves, rolling up into a simple score is not only problematic it very well could be misleading. It is for this reason scores are grouped by lifecycle stage to help organizations see how they are doing against what is possible/BAT (Best Available Technology) in that category/stage.
